 Context

According to a report filed by Telangana  state development and planning, society is highly prone to hot weather conditions and heatwave, especially seen in some difficult especially kanban Bhadrachalam,  Nizamabad Karimnagar, and Warangal

 key points

According to the report, the following are the cause of proneness to draught in the state-

• Nonavailability of irrigation facilities
•  distribution of rainfall
•  limitations of groundwater exploration
•  changes in the monsoon pattern

 Telangana state heatwave Action Plan 2021

• It is prepared by the revenue department and TSDPS in Association with UNICEF Hyderabad
•  It AIMS at providing guidelines to be taken up by the state and district administration for minimizing the impact of possible heatwaves
• The government had already launched a mobile app to provide information about the top 10 hottest location in the state

 what is heatwave

A heatwave is a period of abnormally high temperature more than the normal maximum temperature
