Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) Coaching
The Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) is a government body that conducts the Civil Service Examination for the various entry-level vacancies for the Civil Services of Uttar Pradesh. The organization is a constitutional body as per Article 315 and Article 323 of the constitution of India. The Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission is among the competitive exams that provide an opportunity to serve the State. The UPPSC Exam is organized in three stages that are Preliminary, Mains, and Interview. Many times the UPPSC exam is structured based on the UPSC CSE, thus aspirants who are preparing for the UPSC may also prepare for the UPSC CSE. For the UPPCS exam eligibility criteria the Minimum Age is 21 Years and the Maximum Age is 40 years old. The aspirant should be of Indian Nationality. Furthermore, the minimum education qualification is a Bachelor’s/Postgraduate degree from a recognized university. The aspirants don’t need any prior experience to sit for the examination.
Eligibility Criteria for UPPSC Exam
To apply for the UPPSC exam, candidates must have certain eligibility requirements. Certain posts, like the DSP post, have a higher minimum age limit of 22 years.
1. Nationality:
Candidates have to be Indian citizens. NRI or foreign nationals are not eligible.
2. Age Limit:
The minimum age is 21 years, while the maximum age is 40 years.
Relaxations in the upper age limit apply for the reserved category (OBC/SC/ST) as per state government rules. Candidates belonging to SC/ST can avail of age relaxation of 5 years.
3. Educational Qualification:
A candidate should hold a bachelor’s degree from a university or institution recognized by the government. For some specialized posts, additional qualifications may be required, such as a degree in agriculture or law.
4. Physical Standards:
Candidates for posts like DSP, Assistant Conservator of Forests, and Range Forest Officer must satisfy particular physical standards in regard to height, chest girth, and endurance levels.
Exam Pattern of UPPSC
1. Preliminary Examination (Prelims):
The first filter is a qualifying examination named Prelims, wherein only one objective-type paper is conducted.
General Studies Paper: It covers History, Geography, Polity, Economy, Environment, Science, and Current Affairs. The paper consists of 150 Questions (objective type), with multiple-choice questions (MCQs) for a total of 200 marks.
General Studies Paper II (CSAT): The Civil Services Aptitude Test began in the year 2006 with this paper covering logical reasoning, comprehension, and basic mathematics. It is a qualifying paper, which means it is required to score only a minimum predetermined score to qualify (100 Questions, 200 marks and 33% qualifying).
Note: For shortlisting candidates for the Mains examination, only marks obtained in General Studies Paper I are taken into account.
2. Mains Examination:
This exam is a descriptive test consisting of four papers:
1. General Studies Papers: Four papers dealing with subjects such as History, Geography, Polity, Environment, Economy, and Science.
Essay: This paper evaluates candidates’ ability to write structured and coherent essays on topics of national and international importance.
Hindi and General English: Two different papers that assess the candidates’ language competence in Hindi and English.
3. Interview/Personality Test:
Post-Main qualifying, a candidate attends the interview. The interview is focused on the candidate’s personality, general awareness, and aptitude for Civil Service Career.

CSAT (General Studies Paper II):
The UPPSC CSAT syllabus is aimed at testing the candidate’s basic knowledge of English, Maths and Reasoning; this paper is qualifying in nature requiring candidates to score a minimum of 66 marks in the 200-mark paper. Some of the salient topics covered in the UPPSC CSAT paper are as follows:

2. Main Examination Syllabus:
Candidates in the UPPSC PCS Mains exam have to appear for 8 papers that are conventional in nature. From 2023 onward, UPPSC has scrapped the optional papers that used to be there for the UPPSC Mains exam. Paper numbers 5 and 6 of the PCS Mains exam will be based on Uttar Pradesh GK. From now onwards there will be General Hindi, Essay and General Studies papers in the exam.
3. General Hindi : (150 Marks)
Essay Paper: The subjects could be anything from one social problem or the other to international affairs. (150 marks)
General Studies Papers (I-IV): Include Indian heritage, universe history, geography, governance, social justice, ethics, integrity, and technology. (Each 200 marks)
UP Specials Papers (Papers V to VI): Each (200 marks).
