Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) Coaching in Delhi
The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) is a state service examination to recruit candidates for the vacancies of Group A and Group B in the State Services. The BPSC Examination is among the most sought-after exams by students that offer an opportunity to work in the Government sector and allow the candidate to create an impact on society. Bihar Public Service Commission is a constitutional body under the Article 315 of the Constitution of India. Moreover, it came into existence on 1st April 1949 after getting separated from the State Commission of Madhya Pradesh and Orisha. The exam pattern of the BPSC is similar to the UPSC, consisting of three levels, Preliminary, Main, and Interview. However, there is a vast difference in the syllabi of BPSC and UPSC Exams. The UPSC syllabus is designed nationally while the BPSC syllabus includes topics relevant to the State of Bihar.
The Preliminary Exam consists of 1 General Studies Paper which is objective type, total 150 Marks. The Main Exam consists of 4 Papers including General Hindi, General Studies 1, General Studies 2, and an Option Subject. Moreover, there are 34 Optional subjects for the aspirants to choose from. All the papers tally up a score of 900. The Interview is the last stage of the BPSC Exam. Aspirants who have successfully cleared the Main Exam are called for an Interview round. Additionally, the Interview carries 120 Marks.
Eligibility Criteria for BPSC Exam
The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) conducts the BPSC Combined Competitive Examination (BPSC CCE) as part of its recruitment for officers in various administrative services under the Government of Bihar. The eligibility criteria concerning BPSC include citizenship, age, and educational qualifications.
1. Nationality:
A candidate must be an Indian citizen.
Also, he/she must comply with the domicile provisions for reservations in Bihar.
2. Age Limit:
The minimum age for the BPSC exam is 20 years for the post of Associate Professor (Geography), 21 years for the Assistant Director, and 22 years for all other posts.
The maximum age is different for different categories:
General (Male)- 37 years
General (Female), OBC, EBC- 40 years
SC/ST (Male and Female)- 42 years
Relaxation in age will be provided as per governmental rules.
3. Minimum Education Qualification:
A candidate must possess a bachelor’s degree from a recognized university.
Final-year students are not eligible to apply unless their results are declared along with the respective interview.
4. Number of Attempts:
There is no restriction on the number of attempts a candidate can avail of so long as he/she is otherwise eligible.
