Ethics, Integrity and Aptitude is a very scoring subject in UPSC Civil Services Mains Exam. Conceptual clarity and understanding of how to apply concepts in answer writing is the key to score in General Studies Paper-IV. After understanding this art any student can easily score more than 130 marks in GS Paper 4. In order to test the ethical aptitude of a candidate for civil services, the Ethics, Integrity and Aptitude paper was introduced in the UPSC Civil Services Examination in the year 2013. The objective of introducing Ethics paper in the examination was to inculcate ethical attitude in decision making of civil servants. Since the introduction of Ethics paper in UPSC Civil Services Mains General Studies (GS Paper 4), Civil Services aspirants are in dilemma. As ethics is not like other subjects taught in schools/colleges, it is new and hence it is quite natural to think about the questions asked from the point of view of the candidates, students by properly understanding of concepts and developing personal skills can handle this properly and score high. “In civilized life, law floats in a sea of ethics”. The quote made by the American philosopher Earl Warren, in which he emphasized the importance of ethics to humans and even more so to aspiring Civil Servants. Studying the Ethics paper and applying it in real life and in the exam paper has become imperative to be a successful person as well as to become a successful candidate in this exam. Our course is mainly designed for UPSC GS Paper 4. Every student who is preparing for Civil Services Exam conducted by UPSC can enroll in the course. Our Faculty of Ethics, Integrity and Aptitude paper will explain the basic concepts and key points of the paper to instill confidence in the students. This paper includes elements from the subjects Philosophy, Psychology, Sociology and Public Administration. Hence students from all backgrounds can get hold of this topic.
