Context:

India celebrates National Civil Services Day on April 21 every year

Key Highlights-

Sardar Vallabhai Patel is recognized as the father of the Indian Administrative Service and as the “Steel Frame of India”.
Civil Services Day is celebrated for the civil servants to rededicate themselves to the cause of citizens of the country.
This day motivates All civil service officers to work more efficiently.
On this day the Prime Minister’s Awards for Excellence in Public Administration is presented to districts for implementing priority programs on National Civil Services Day.
